There are many different kinds of aircraft which are used to get troops and equipment from one place to another in the United States Marine Corps. These aircraft must be properly coordinated at all times. If they are not, there can be problems including collisions on the ground and in the air. This is just one of the many reasons why the Air Traffic Radar Approach Control position is such an important one in the US Marines.
