Chidester, Arkansas-When a child goes missing everyone is mobilized to help search.
The search for a missing 3-year old in Ouachita county continues, with the addition of 60 new members of the Arkansas National Guard who have been mobilized and requested to join the effort.
The young boy, Dominique Arceneaux, disappeared last Tuesday afternoon while near his home, playing close by White Oak Lake in the region of Chidester. The sheriff?s office has been running the search and they said that the young lad had not been found as of Friday morning.
There are now aircraft participating in the search, which includes woods, roads and other areas, and a multitude of Law Enforcement officers are being joined by the 60 members of the National Guard.
The Arkansas National Guard often helps out in situations when requested, and they have the personnel and training to help assist with close geographical grid searches, helping to find people in the past. It is another way the local Arkansas National Guard works to support their community.
So far there is no trace of the boy and nothing as of yet points to foul play, according to Sherriff David Norwood, who is coordinating search activities for the boy.
