Professional Football Player Visit Brings Back Fond Memories
One of the dreams of many young men that play HS or college football is to play in the National football league. While this was also a dream for a Army Sergeant First Class Curry, recently he received a very welcome reminder of his own High School ball playing days.
Sgt 1st Class Twilly Curry was an excellent HS ballplayer, but then went on and played only one year of college football. Curry was interested in seeing the world, and joined the US Army in 1990.
Recently a former member of the NFL, Keith Elias stopped in Iraq to support the troops there, and it could not help but make Sgt. Curry remember his own ball playing football days from HS.
Sgt Curry played in the same HS league in New Jersey as Keith Elias, both of them were members of undefeated High School football teams their senior year. Curry wound up being on the state champion team while Keith Elias?s team eventually lost in the playoffs.
Elias went on to have a pro football career, while Sgt Curry played one year of College football, and then joined the US Army.

Both men remembered each other, and during his visit Keith Elias had an opportunity to visit at length with Sgt Curry. Elias was in Iraq as part of a faith based church group visit designed to show support and patriotic encouragement to our Servicemembers serving in Iraq.
