Many people want to serve their country, but do not want to give up their jobs. Luckily, there are Reserve Units available in all five branches of the United States Armed Forces.
The role of the Reserve Units is to fill active duty needs in times when the amount of soldiers available falls below what is required. Such times might include when national security is at risk, National emergency or when war breaks out. Reservists may be called upon to serve in active duty or to assist in the training of the soldiers who will serve in active duty. Reservists also assist in the deployment and mobilization of units.
