Preparing for a career in the United States Navy means having to go through a lot of endurance training. You will have to go through everything from running to cardiovascular exercise. In order to get through the program you will have to be in good shape. It is advisable to start getting into shape before you show up for boot camp. Here are a few of the things you can do to get ready.
Start Running
You will be going through tough training exercises six days a week. You will be expected to keep up with the rest of the team while you run through any kind of weather conditions. Make sure you will be able to perform in any weather condition no matter how harsh it might be. A good goal to set for yourself is that the running times you will need to complete training will be 12:15 time for men running 1.5 miles and 14:45 for women running the same distance.

Do Some Push-Ups
You will also go through cardiovascular and strength training exercises. Once again, it will help to set goals. To complete training, men will have two minutes to complete 54 curl ups and 46 push-ups. Women will also have two minutes to complete 54 curl ups and 20 push-ups.
