Benefits From US Public Military Support

October 30, 2008 By admin

Working in the service of the US military gives a number of different opportunities for the individual enlisted Servicemember, but there are also groups that support and give assistance to the military. These are civilian patriotic groups that render help and aid, providing a number of real time benefits for those that serve in the United States Armed Forces.

These organizations can receive certain products, money, or other donations and make sure that the troops receive them swiftly. One such group is ?eCarePackage,? which is a part of the better-known and recognized ?Operation Homefront.? After the security debacle that was September 11th, 2001, the military has made mailing packages to military members that you do not know from individuals nearly impossible without going through some of the public patriotic groups. Many military families were concerned that the troops serving in the conflicts currently were not getting the same level of support that they have enjoyed in the past, so many of them got together with officials from the Department of Defense, and created the ?Operation Homefront,? organization. Another program is the Wounded Heroes Foundation. They administer a program called ?Their Care Project,? which is a hospital related program to help with the needs of Servicemembers that have been wounded. This is a group providing support for wounded soldiers and helps with money for special needs, medications, and is entirely funded from corporate and private donations. This is to protect everyone involved, but there are a lot of options available in supporting some of these groups. There are several groups that a citizen can show their financial, moral and emotional support for the troops. There are a number of patriotic groups that are working hard to show our Servicemembers overseas and here at home that their service and their sacrifice is not for naught. The Wounded Heroes group is base in Chicago, and administered at military and civilian hospitals around the world including Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany as well as other places around the world and Stateside. ECarePackage is a method where consumers and citizens can donate specific goods and money and have it successfully routed to overseas Servicemembers in military service for the United States of America. They seek things like: socks, pajamas, and travel sized toiletries. They also have a web site and it lists in more detail the things that people can do in support of American Troops serving.

They maintain a list on their web site of things they accept and that you can send and how to become involved. Operation Homefront is the organization that administers the eCarePackage program, and they send packages to the troops every day.
