The Air National Guard has many different bonuses and incentives they offer their enlistees. Newly enlisted who select certain careers in the Air National Guard can earn up to a $20,000 cash bonus. Those looking to receive a college education can do so with up to $32,000 available through the Montgomery GI Bill. There are many other incentive programs available.
Along with signing and education bonuses, the Air National Guard offers incentives for medical, dental and life insurance benefits. Tricare medical and dental are available to both enlisted personnel and their families. Life insurance is available at very low rates up to a maximum payout of $400,000. On top of all of this, you will be given base privileges which include access to the commissary, exchange and recreational facilities.
In order to qualify for the Montgomery GI Bill, you will have to enlist for 6 years. You will also have to complete both technical school and basic training. The benefits you receive will not be taken out of your pay or used against you in any way.
The Student Loan Repayment Program is available to those who have already attained a college education. You will be provided with up to $20,000 throughout your enlistment period.
Enlisted members of the Air National Guard are also eligible for state benefits such as tax deferment, 100% tuition assistance and reduced auto license fees.
