Microgrant Assistance With Other Support Helps Iraqi Businessmen
If you are to walk about in the area of Northern Baghdad, you can see signs of prosperity, hope and reconstruction all about you. It is a new medical building here, a set of store signs there, and different Iraqi Security checkpoints being manned by citizen Sons of Iraq.
Much of the current success is because of different types of financial funding that members of the business community in Iraq have taken advantage of. The Coalition has given a number of microgrants over a period of time, so that if a member of the Iraqi business community has suffered losses from the insurgency that plagued the area for so long are able to restart.
Many of the microgrants have been to small single proprietor businesses, and they are working hard to rebuild their businesses, and to become an asset in the community.
Much of this effort was not present as little as a year ago, the citizens were afraid of the insurgents, and lived in a state of fear.
Not so today. Today there are more and more Iraqi Businesses that are opening back up, and it is truly a spirit of hope and encouragement that now covers over the entire region.
People are beginning to hope for the future, and they are very eager to learn different concepts from Servicemembers from the coalition. Mini seminars about small business management are given on a regular basis by members of the coalition, teaching Iraqi businessmen how to manage their businesses more efficiently.
