US and Salvadoran Medical Troops Assist Health Issues
Some of the most rewarding efforts to help members of the Iraqi community have been the medical clinic and medical assistance that the coalition works to provide for them. Members of the 41st Fire Brigade, and members of the Salvadoran Cuscatlan Battalion worked together with selected members from Iraqi medical forces to provide citizens in the Zuwarijat district with medical assistance last week.
The medical care given to these citizens in the Kut region is part of the larger coalition Operation Bring on the Docs that has been mounted in cooperation with the Wasit province Health Ministry.
The Operation is coalition funded and mounted, but was actually planned and dreamed up by the leadership of the Iraqi Security Forces. It is a specific medical operation that is designed to assist the local government with identifying the best ways to provide medical care, by giving immediate medical care and identifying regions where there is no ongoing medical support.
The objective is to create an Iraqi led, quality, enduring health care system that is located within the Wasit province.
