Iraqi Security Forces Raid High Value Targets
As more and more territory is being released and transferred to Iraqi command responsibility the Iraqi forces are proving capable and efficient. Coalition soldiers have worked with different groups of Iraqi Security personnel to teach and train them in various methods of security procedures. The foot patrols and security checkpoints are manned increasingly by Iraqi National Police forces, and the Iraqi Army has been on point working to maintain area security.
There are several recent patrols that have yielded a number of high value suspects. This has been a successful transition effort that has led to a lessening of violence and an increase in overall quality of the security in the area. The Iraqi Army has increased the patrols and number of active checkpoints as they have taken over from the coalition. There are several areas of Baghdad, and slowly they have worked to assume authority over them one by one.
