U.S. Based Carriers Often Have Little Known Savings
Each year thousands of Service Members travel for the Holidays, to see family, visit friends or just take much needed leave. Military Travelers this season should look to take advantage of special fares or rates available because of their status as military personnel.
Several of the U.S. based air carriers have announced recently special offers to Servicemembers who are traveling from Japan, Europe, and Central and South America. Service members who are traveling during the time frame of January 11th to May 31st may be eligible for special savings.
American Airlines was one of the carriers that announced special fares and rates for Servicemembers
Other Fares within the United States, and flights to Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Mexico will also benefit from reduced prices for Servicemembers. Active Duty fares and discounts for personnel range from discount and reduced fares, used of special VIP areas and lounges at airports, and other benefits.
A new trend for less restrictive purchasing is also one of the benefits offered in some situations.
In a announcement by a United Airlines Spokeswoman, Robin Urbanski said “We are extending our program of savings for American Servicemembers, Ms. Urbanski further said that while discounts vary according to the date and route, its important to book early for the best deal.”
“Some flights are as inexpensive within the USA as $99 dollars each way”, said Ms. Urbanski.
Mary Clark, a Continental Airlines spokeswoman said: Servicemembers can access our ticket pricing and sales online in just a few clicks from our online Web site. Prices for Servicemembers are among our lowest prices.
