Humanitarian Assistance Given Families Returning To Iraq
The members of the Iraqi community that fled at the start of the different battle conditions are beginning to return. These families fled to Syria, or other locations, to try and escape from the fear of being killed or injured by insurgents that were occupying their homeland.
Iraqi soldiers and Iraqi Security Forces have been delivering supplies to the different families, as they are returning to their homes and their communities. The Iraqi Security forces have been successful in removing the threats from insurgents and terrorists, working alongside the coalition.
Now, as the security situation is safe, the families are beginning to return, and the community of Najaf is starting to return to normal. Nearly 4,000 people have returned and have been staying temporarily at the Najaf International Airport.
The ISF security forces have been working with the Najaf Provincial Reconstruction Team to provide help and assistance, as well as delivery of supplies. The last two days of operations has been a huge success, and the Iraq security forces have been working to help the families prepare to return back to their homes.
