Life on a United States Air Force Base is similar to life in most any other community. The only difference is you will see more guns, armored vehicles and uniforms than in the average community. There are still houses which families live in and facilities where administration keeps busy all day. All of these structures need to have electricity in order to function normally. As an electrical systems apprentice in the USAF, you will help to make sure that they have the electricity that they need.
Training for Safety
While it is possible for anyone to work with wires and electricity, it is not always safe for them to do so. You will be trained as an electrician so that you will understand the proper methods for working with this potentially dangerous element. This way not only will you be safe. You will also be able to safeguard the facilities and homes which you are running electricity to.
