The United States Army has one of the largest ground forces in the world. Coordination between the base and the many different air, ground and water forces can be difficult at times. Without good communications systems this task is impossible to maintain. By working as an avionic communications equipment repairer you will make sure the aircraft are able to stay in touch with base and complete missions.
Training for Your Career
The avionics communications equipment is highly specialized. It can only be maintained by those who know exactly what they are doing. To attain this specialized knowledge you will have to go through a 19 week advanced training course in addition to the basic training all soldiers have to go through. This will give you the foundation upon which you can start your career.
