There are many different types of benefits that military US Servicemember qualify for. The Military provides specialized training and many of the jobs that require special risk, or have certain job requirements provide compensation such as special pay and benefits. The military gives special compensation for such jobs and careers because of the special requirements.
These special duty types of pay and benefits are available for any person who is serving in a pay or special duty category. There are a few different types of special pay; there are a few different examples of them. Many of the job skills that a person receives while training in the military can set up a person for the rest of their life in providing training and assistance in dealing with their employment civilian future. Special Duty Pay- Job specialities such as Nuclear Reactor Specialist are automatically eligible for additional pay benefits. Some military positions, because of their mere classification can involve a pay benefit. Flight Duty- This type of pay is available for any aviation crewmembers, and flight pay can be up to $800 dollars a month in some situations. One of the little known facts is that flight duty pay is that you don?t have to necessarily be a pilot or crewmember to receive flight duty pay. Servicemembers on shore and aboard carriers and other flight vessel operations are eligible. Members of the ground aviation team, aircraft crew, flight line, and other aviation personnel all make them qualified for special flight pay. You can serve on flight operations, or on the flight line, and this will also make a Servicemember. Combat Pay- It can be several hundred dollars a month and helps compensate a Servicemember for their overseas service. If you are serving in Afghanistan, Iraqi, or one of a number of other individual sites that are classified as a war zone by the DoD then you could qualify for Combat Pay. Working in the military often makes a person eligible to gain Combat Duty pay.
