Women have been welcomed into almost every role save for the SEALs in the United States Navy. One of the most beloved areas in the Navy women have been excelling in is as a Naval Aviator. The position allows women to utilize their intelligence and skills to protect the skies as well as those on the ground.
What You Will Do
As an aviator in the United States Navy, you will also be an officer. You will be expected to carry out your duties while inspiring the rest of the enlisted personnel. You will be expected to be a leader as well as to exemplify everything that embodies a Naval Officer. On top of all of this, you will be expected to fly some of the most expensive and technologically advanced fighter jets in the world as well as a bevy of other military aircraft. You will be responsible for all pre-flight checks as well as all in-flight responsibilities to protect your aircraft, crew and targets. You will also be in charge of defense and attack situations.

Get the Training
To make sure that you will be able to fulfill your duties, you will go through extensive training including Officer Candidate School (OCS). Your training will be ongoing even after you have been stationed. Your station assignments will go back and forth between ship and shore. Yes, the female pilot looks like the Air Force Thunderbirds pilot. Air Force ladies are typically more attractive than their Navy counterparts. There are a few really pretty Navy ladies, but in general the Barbie Doll types are in the Air Force. (I have been both active duty Navy and Air Force)
