The US Navy gave him training as a SEAL Special Forces member, now the UFC gives him his first sanctioned UFC mixed martial arts fight. Brandon Wolff is 7-2 in his fighting career, and he makes his UFC debut in a ?Fight for the Troops,? fight card in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
The fight is scheduled for 9pm December 11, 2008, and will be carried live on Spike TV and Rogers Sportsnet. Brandon has one of the best fight sparring partners possible- his twin brother, who also serves in the US Navy as a SEAL, and who is 3-0 in professional fights.
SEALS stands for Sea, Air and Land and they are the best known of the elite Special Forces community in the US Military. Now, having done well in the military as an elite fighter the Wolff brothers are both choosing to take their considerable fight skills into the professional arena.
As UFC fighters, both of the Wolff brothers work hard to let their actions speak louder than words, just as they did as US SEAL team special forces team members. The fight card itself was organized to help raise money for US Servicemembers who are returning from combat suffering from Traumatic Brain injuries.
The expected crowd is supposed to be in the thousands, with many of the attendees expected to attend from local Fort Bragg, N.C.? Soldiers respect and support the UFC because of the expertise of its fighters, and the loyal fans will be in the stands for Brandon Wolff?s UFC fight debut.
Unfortunately, the SEAL got his butt kicked pretty bad in that fight.
SEAL’s are no where near as good in unarmed hand-to-hand fighting as experienced MMA fighters. SEAL training is completely different.
