Tulsa, Oklahoma- One of Oklahoma?s own, former Congressman Brad Carson will soon be leaving the state, serving with his military reserve Unit. Because of his impending deployment, Carson will resign his current post at CEO for Cherokee Nation Businesses and deploy with his reserve unit.
Former Congressman Carson will be serving with his reserve unit. Carson received a bachelors degree in 1985 from Baylor University and a Masters Degree from Oxford University. Carson has worked in the past with the US Defense Department as a special assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Special Projects.
Brad Carson is an attorney, and reportedly will serve with the US Navy Reserves. His office would not return telephone calls about his deployment, and he is shunning any public statements or attention on the matter.
It appears Former Congressman Carson intends to serve his country in the US Naval reserves quietly without a great deal of fanfare. Due to his position as a former Congressman he likely could successfully dodge military service and deployment, but he appears to be going willingly, if not enthusiastically. All of our public servants and elected officials should operate in this manner.
