-Correspondence courses
-Job Training or Apprenticeship courses.
-Flight Training.
-College or University courses.
-Vocational or Technical Courses.
You can also receive training from other accredited programs that help lead to a degree.

Training from a cooperative training program or degree or degree program can also be funded in some cases. Upon separation from the service, you have a period of ten years that you can claim your Montgomery Active Duty GI Bill funds in. If you were called up to active duty or reactivated for any period after your separation, if the call up lasted more than 90 days then the date of effective qualification for your Montgomery GI bill resets.
Your MGIB benefits are extended by the amount of time from the last separation. If you have any of the following issues your MGIB period can also be extended in some cases:
-A disability that is caused by your service or service connected.
-A pre-existing medical condition from before your active duty service.
-Hardship, or reduction in fighting force.
If you qualify for MGIB benefits based on two years of active duty service and then four years of reserve duty service, your MGIB benefit date starts on the date that you were released from active duty service. The amount that you qualify for in the MGIB active duty program is taken from the time of your service, the type of training that you are taking, the category that you are in, and also if the Department of Defense put in any extra money for you during your time in the service. This extra money is also referred to as a kicker.
Enlisting is a privilege and an honor in the Armed services of the United States. If you are serious about college, and want to make the most of your military service experience, ask for different kicker programs while you are in the service. There are programs available that effectively multiplies the money that you put in your MGIB account, and allows a greater return after your active duty service ends.
