The aircraft flying on and off of the aircraft carriers and Naval bases are truly a sight to behold. Only the best and the brightest are chosen to fly in the United States Navy because whether the missions are flown over sea or over land, they are dangerous. To make sure that the crews flying these missions are kept as safe as possible throughout their missions, every flight includes safety equipment which is maintained and installed by the aircraft survival equipmentman.
What You Will Do
You will be in charge of making sure that all safety equipment used during flight is properly inspected, and maintained. You will also help to make sure that those who are using the equipment know how to properly use it so that they will be able to stay safe while they are in flight and in case of an emergency. You will be in charge of safeguarding the equipment from malfunctioning as well as making corrections should there ever be a problem.
