Technology has become one of the cornerstones of the United States Air Force. It is necessary to keep track of all the personnel and their personnel information wherever they are. It is also responsible for making sure that the troops are able to stay in touch with their families even when they are stationed far away. Making all of this possible is the job of those working in cyber transport systems.
What You Will Do
You will help to make sure that all cyber systems are maintained correctly so that information of all kinds has the ability to get to where it needs to go. You will provide routine maintenance on equipment to avoid breakdowns as well as performing upgrades when necessary. You will help to set up equipment as well as to disconnect it when necessary. Your job is closest to that of an IT guy in the civilian world.

You will learn everything that many people pay thousands to learn in technical vocational schools around the nation. You will get valuable classroom and hands-on training. You will also receive on-going training so that you will be up to speed on the latest technology as it is being developed. If you should ever decide to leave the US Air Force, you will have the training to land the kind of job most people dream about.
