What You Will Do
You will be expected to assist in building structures and creating the connection which the structures will need in order to be fully functional. You will also be expected to assist in the detection and destruction of mines and the demolition of old buildings and buildings which cause a threat to the peace of the region or the world. You will also be expected to maintain and repair certain structures. As your skills expend, so will your responsibilities.

Get the Training
When you join the United States Marine Corps, you will go through basic training like all other enlisted personnel. You will then go through advanced training in the Basic Combat Engineer Course at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Here you will be trained for all specializations within the combat engineering division so that you can choose your specialization or you can choose to remain as a general engineer.
