Hillary Clinton, former first lady, and now a candidate for the presidency in 2008, has long presented her thoughts and ideals for the US’ involvement in the Iraqi war. Although Hillary Clinton initially supported President Bush with the insurgence into the Iraqi area for the current war, she has since withdrawn her support, and is now stating that she has a plan for troop withdraw by the time that she becomes president.
Hillary Clinton has proposed that some of the US troops will be withdrawn from Iraq within 60 days of her presidency. This is important, as many disagree with the amount of money that President Bush is currently spending on a war that is not fully supported. Many US troops support Hillary, as they have claimed that there were never any weapons of mass destruction that were located, as well as the fact that they are eager to return home. Numerous troop members have served more than one tour, as they are eager to defend our country, and take great pride in being a soldier that makes up one of the best military regimes in the world.
Hillary Clinton also suggested that many of the US military troops should stay in the Iraq area until Iraq agrees that it will be compliant with the rules that will be set forth. Under current administration, President Bush suggests that there should be an increase in the amount of soldiers that are present in the area, as to show a great presence of military troops in the area.
