Working Your Way Up
Just like any position in the work force, you will get started at the base and have the opportunity to work your way up. When you are a fuels apprentice, this means you will start out working on a fuel truck in a small unit and you will gradually move your way up the ladder through various assignments until you are stationed at the Main fuel depot which is responsible for global distribution.
When you are working as a fuels apprentice, you will not only be in charge of making sure that the aircraft are receiving the right kind of fuel to stay operational.
