The United States Coast Guard uses some of the most technologically advanced equipment available to complete mission objectives every day. Whether the electronics are used in order to locate ships or people lost at sea they simply have to be able to work. This is why the Coast Guard uses the services of highly skilled technicians as a way to keep everything in good operational condition every day.
The Work You Will Do
You will work on all of Command, Control and Communication (C3) systems as well as the navigation systems on the ships as well as in the command posts. This way the ships will be able to perform their necessary duties while they are at sea and they will also be able to stay in touch with command to receive orders about the mission that they should be completing or changes in mission objectives which the vessel will need to know in order to stay on target.
