The United States Air Force Reserves is a branch of the military many people consider instead of entering the regular service. This can also be a precursor to service in the regular Air Force. Qualifications for the USAF Reserves
There are some main qualifications you will have to meet in order to sign up in the United States Air Force Reserves. You will first of all need to be in the United States legally. You do not have to be a citizen, but you cannot be working on migration status. You need to be at least 17 but younger than 34. Your health must be good and you must have a strong character which will make you beneficial to the USAF Reserves.

Taking the ASVAB
Before you will be accepted into the USAF Reserves you will have to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). This is a series of tests which include physical as well as psychological tests. Your placement on the test will help to show the USAF how you will be best utilized.
Many who have taken the ASVAB have shown ability in a certain field which is in high demand. This helps the Air Force to place you in specialized programs to get the training you need to make the most of your talents.
