Local Taji Qada Citizens Gain Confidence
The citizens of the Taji Qada have seen it all, the battles, the insurgency, and the members of the Al Qaeda that tried to threaten and dominate them, only to be slowly pushed out by the members of the Iraqi Security Force, along with support from Coalition troops.
Now, the most exciting things that happen are when a stray soccer ball goes into a security checkpoint and members of the Sons of Iraq, or in some cases Iraqi Security forces retrieve it with a smile.
Security is something that has been hard fought, but once it has been established, then it has been something worth holding on to, and something to value. Just two years ago things were so unsafe that many people stayed in their homes.
Iraq Security is doing better and better. And the best thing is that it has been a cooperative effort, bringing together all of the different groups, and slowly making sure that the area is safe and the needs of the citizens are provided for.
Coalition mechanics used to be tasked with different all sorts of different vehicle repairs, and they maintained vehicles in order to keep security. This led to a lot of costs, that normally didn?t have to happen except abandoned cars would lead to IED and car bombs.

Not anymore. The Iraqi Security has set up different agreements with local workmen. Now when a car is abandoned, its removed, and if it needs repair, it is repaired. Then it can be sold or disposed of in a way to benefit the community, or to help support one of the different community groups.
