Coalition And ISF Force Join Forces To Aid Children
The coalition has been on the scene in Iraqi, with US Army and Marine Corps Servicemembers working to patrol and provide security support since the beginning of the surge. Slowly, the Iraqi Security forces have been able to take over, and so far there are 12 of the 18 provinces in Iraq that are totally under the control of the Iraqi Government.
As the members of the coalition have increasingly been relegated to a support and observation role, the US Marines have worked to deliver supplies, school supplies, food, water and even toys that have been collected for the children of Iraq by people and groups in the United States.
One of the most popular toys is stuffed animals, and the Marines have been able to pass out a large quantity of these animals to children in the Rutbah district recently.
The children respond with enthusiasm, and they are excited to receive a toy such as this. Many of the children have never had a stuffed animal type toy before, so it is the first time that they have been able to get and own a toy of this nature of their very own.

The toy distribution also shows the people that the Marine Corps and the coalition are there to help them rebuild their nation, not just to defend and provide security.
