Iraqi Army And Security Forces Learn Forensic Methods
The Iraqi Army and Iraqi National police have taken part in various types of training, and the different types of training has worked to improve the Iraqi security overall.
There has been a two part training program designed to help improve the ability of Iraqi Security Forces to process criminal activity and to deal with criminal cases using the evidence.
The Coalition has been working to directly process evidence, and teaching members of the Iraqi Security forces in how to deal with proper evidence gathering techniques.
The use of gloves, and methods of gathering evidence without contamination has been something that is new for the Iraqi Soldiers, and it has been something that has been readily learned by members of the Iraqi Security Forces.
This type of training has been effective and helped solve a few crimes even in the early stages. The Coalition has been pleased with the response of the Iraqi Security Forces, and with the hard work that members of the ISF forces have performed to try to master the different training techniques.
The training cuts to the heart of being able to solve different crimes, even some types of war atrocities and war crimes can be investigated successfully by Iraqi Forces when they have successfully completed the coalition evidence gathering program.
