Separate Operations Result In Cooperative Successes
One of the things that the Iraqi Security Forces has been working accomplish is to Capture and eliminate insurgency cells that are operating in the different regions of Iraq. The Iraqi Security Forces have created their own special operations teams, with Coalition guidance and training.
Previously, when there was a need for an special response to an insurgency site, or a house that needed to be cleared, then the Iraqi Security Forces would enlist the aid of the Coalition.
Now, if there needs to be a specialized response, the members of the ISF forces have their own Special Weapons and tactics teams, that have been closely supervised and trained by the coalition. This has added the Iraqi ability to deal with their own situations in house, which is a positive thing.
After the coalition is no longer in the region long term, the Iraqi ability to respond, including with SWAT teams has build up their infrastructure, and given them extreme support for nearly all security issues.
Recently in Mosul, the Iraqi SWAT team was called out, and they responded to a house believed to have a large cache of weapons and explosives.
They mounted a raid on the location, and it was a thing of beauty, with their training and equipment supplied by the coalition provides the means for keeping their country safe
