Coalition Aids In Restoration Of Iraqi Region
The Za ab triangle is an area in Iraq that has seen its share of insurgent activity, and they work to conduct various operations in the Salahuddin province. Participation in rebuilding the area is a endeavor the joint forces of the coalition and the Iraqi Security Forces have began.
The reason behind the Combat Outpost on the outskirts of the Sharqat area is to help improve the overall security of the area. The coalition has the 5th battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 4th BCT, 1st Cavalry stationed there along with selected units of the Iraqi Army.
The joint forces are working together to support operations and security, and their combined efforts at the outpost work to keep the peace in the entire Ninevah province.
The responsibility for clearing up the region have fallen to the joint soldiers from Ninevah, both coalition and Iraqi Security Forces. They already have another combat outpost near Nepsa close to Heschel so the new outpost will support and give an even bigger battle space occupied successfully by members of the joint forces.
