Frankfort, Kentucky-There have been a series of back-to-back ice storms that have thrashed Kentucky, leaving many area residents desperately in need of help. The Kentucky National Guard has been working hard to come to the aid of many citizens that have been victimized by the storm.
Members of the Kentucky National Guard have been going door to door, knocking on houses and asking if everyone is all right. Recently, their efforts led to the discovery of a number of people that needed help badly, including one elderly lady that had fallen and could not move.
She was given first aid and helped to a local hospital for treatment, where she remains in stable condition.
Adjutant General Edward Tontini of the Kentucky State National Guard said that door to doro efforts continue, to make sure everyone is okay after the severe bout of ice storms that have racked much of Kentucky.

National Guard Soldiers in McLean County were also working at several locations to set up ?Wellness Checks?, in addition to their door to door efforts. They came to a house that had one woman nearly out of water and food, who had diabetes.
Many people that are determined to seek medical help are being helped to local hospitals and medical clinics for treatment and assistance.
