Sons Of Iraq Give Terrorist Over To Coalition Custody
The relationship between MNF coalition forces and the Sons of Iraq has slowly gotten better and better, and it got a huge boost this last week in the Baghdad region. A key terrorist that was on the most wanted list was captured and given over to coalition control by members of the Sons of Iraq. The Sons of Iraq were meeting with citizens and a local sheik when it was discovered that a known terror suspect was nearby. The accused is a member of a known Al Qaeda network in Iraq, and has been on the most wanted list for some time.
The use of vehicle borne explosives and attacks on coalition soldiers are part of the crimes that this person is accused of. The Sons of Iraq captured the suspected Al Qaeda terrorist and detained him until coalition troops could arrive and take over. “The Sons of Iraq are heroes again, they found a dangerous suspected terrorist and got him off the streets, they are to be commended,” said Major Al Hing. Major Hing is the spokesman for 25th Infantry division, who took control of the terrorist suspect.
