New Shatt Al Arab Courthouse Assists With Iraqi Justice
There are a lot of difference changes that are happening in Iraq, and one of the positive changes involves democracy and the rule of law. The new Courthouse has been constructed in Basrah and it is the first courthouse of any kind in the region.
The new facility is modern and it will be able to have a long term impact for the region, and for the Iraqi people. More than 40 local Iraqi personnel, clerks, security personnel, judges will work at the facility when it is fully operational. It is scheduled to open next spring, and it will make a huge difference after it opens.
The current smaller facility that is in Al Tanoma that is serving as a courthouse is way too small, as well as being inadequate for any sort of legal long term administrative support.
The new courthouse will act as a central pillar of the judicial process, and help make the entire pursuit of justice and peace in the region safe and secure. The building itself is a $1.4 million Dollar facility that will provide a number of different areas of potential for the Iraqi Judicial system.
