Three Generations Of Family Have Served America
One Marine Lieutenant is a proud example of service to his country, but also a proud member of his continuing family military legacy.
Three Generations of the White family have served their country in the military, and it’s a point of pride that is taken very seriously by Marine Tabitha White and her entire family. “It is a honor and privilege to be in the Service, and to be an American,” said Lieutenant White. “We enjoy and realize many liberties and freedoms that others do not have” stated the proud Marine.
Lieutenant White is part of a program of Service Members that have been hand picked to tell the story of our Military and Military Service to the public at large. “I have wanted to participate in protecting our liberty as an example,” said Lieutenant White.
Lieutenant White was raised in Meridian, Mississippi, and she joined up with the Marine Corps a little over four years ago. White is an air defense controller stationed in North Carolina at Cherry Point. She serves in the Department of Defense’s “Why We Serve” outreach program for the public.
White served in Iraq at Al Asad Air Base from January through August, and during her time in Iraq she was squadron Command Historian, and also worked as an Airspace Cell coordinator.
“All of the different experiences have taught me and helped me grow as an individual,” said Lieutenant White. “All the different people I have met has been a true highlight for me” said White.
