Give Support For Anbar Security Region
The Iraqi Security Forces have done a great job of assuming the lion?s share for the security and safety in the Iraq communities and areas across Iraq that formerly were manned exclusively by the Coalition.
But there are still forces and elements of the coalition that have been in action and continue to see patrol and insurgent action on a weekly and daily basis.
The Rapid response Incident team of Marine Wing Support Group 37, Squadron 374 works to patrol the Iraqi Desert, and they are available to respond quickly to support any of the Marine Corps forces in the region.
They travel around the Anbar province especially, giving support and aviation ground support for the different flying Marine Corps and Coalition flying squadrons in the area. These brave Marines provide physical support to insure the safety of Marine Flight groups to make sure the personnel is safe as they return from missions.
These Marines work to establish good and healthy relationships with the local community members, and this has helped to find and root out the remaining members of the terror cells that have tried to hide in the province.
