Sometimes the benefits of serving in the United States Military are readily apparent, but there are often hidden perks as well.
The folks at Anheuser-Busch, owners and operators of many amusement parks around the United States such as Busch Gardens and SeaWorld, Water County USA and Adventure Island Theme Parks, have announced their annual ?Military Servicemembers and their Families Admitted Free? Policy.
Called ?Here?s To the Heroes,? the program allows for single day admission to any of the Anheuser-Busch amusement parks or programs for any Servicemember and up to three members or dependents. This is a bargain and saves a significant amount of money for those members of the Military on leave or on vacation with their families.
While not as well-known as the pay, benefits, or educational opportunities, there are several of these types of hidden benefits that further make joining the military a positive experience. Another example is the resort on Walt Disney Property that is reserved for use by members of the United States military, and actually operated and rented by the Department of Defense.
When you take these and other hidden benefits and add them together, it is often a very advantageous thing to choose to enlist. With times as hard as they are in the United States right now and with a depressed job market, there has never been a more lucrative time to enlist in the Armed Forces.
