The types of different Services That are needed changes, but each different military service offers types of services for their Servicemembers and their families. No matter what branch a service member is serving with, military families can receive services from any installation in the military. As long as a Servicemember is on active duty, then they can receive services from any Armed Forces Service Center, and this can be handy for cities where more than one Military Service maintains facilities. Members of the United States military that are called to active duty Service in the Reserves can qualify for services from a active Family Military Assistance Unit, or FAC Centers. One of the jobs of the FAC center is to give updated and current information about the Service Member to family members. Services do vary from location to location, and they are based on several conditions. Geographical location, the Active Duty populace being served, and other factors. Sometimes the family of Servicemembers are not close to military facilities, and at these times some of the services can be accessed over the Internet, by e-mail or over the telephone. These facilities help families of Servicemembers and they exist to provide information, from Federal, Military and local civilian issues affecting Service Members and their families. They have a wide variety of services to refer Military Families to. They are a clearinghouse of information on where to go for specific issues, and how to deal with the situations that Military families experience.
