Serving in the military not only helps you pay for college and build up a savings account, but it also builds up the character of the person you are and helps you become the person you have the potential to be.
Serving in the military will push you to your physical limits. Being prepared for any situation, being ready to take responsibility for your own life and the lives of your buddies requires you to be in the top physical condition. If you?ve always wanted to be in better shape but didn?t know how or didn?t have the motivation, the military can provide that for you. You will feel a great sense of accomplishment in reaching great physical condition. A military career helps you stay in shape as well.
You will also learn the self-discipline necessary to succeed in any aspect of life. Sometimes we need a little push to discipline ourselves to wake up early, make a plan for the day, focus on the most important things first, leaving time for the others if we are able.
We may not recognize the importance of family and all they?ve done for us, and we may not recognize how much we rely on others. Being in the military helps with all of those aspects of your character. If you could use some physical and mental discipline, look into the military.
