There are many different construction projects that the United States Military has been involved with in Iraq. Since the early days of the War on terror, there has been a concerted effort on the part of US Army engineers to identify and repair different areas of infrastructure in Iraq.
Recently the US Army completed an additional 112 projects that brings the total to just under 4,000 completed projects. The type of projects have been focused on schools, clinics and other types of public buildings.
There have also been a high number of different water projects, each averaging around $1.9 million dollars apiece. The water projects have involved different areas of construction, consisting of laying pipes, installing filtration centers, pumps and other water related equipment.
Each of the water projects are issues that directly benefit the people of the surrounding Baghdad area. There are a number of rural water projects that have averaged around $180 thousand dollars apiece, constructing water supply areas where there were not any previously.
Two different large road construction projects were completed also, including the Baghdad to Mosul road, as well as the Tak Harb to Showairrej village paving project. Each of these bring back into service important roads for the Iraqi people, as well as having successful construction efforts that serve the community at large.
