Rhine River Ordnance Barracks, Germany-There are many different types of new Gear that is issued to the United States military and the U.S. Army each year, and sometimes that new gear has to be tested first.
The new Body Armor Vest is currently under testing with Soldiers of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command.
Soldiers got the chance to view and in some cases try out the newest Improved Outer Tactical Vest, that the U.S. Army is introducing for soldiers in the field. The latest in Army Gear and other U.S. Army technology was part of a demonstration and exhibition last Monday by the Army Program Executive Office Soldier, the group that is responsible for the different equipment that U.S. Army Soldiers carry.
Sometimes the U.S. Army takes its show on the road to show off and demonstrate the newest in Army Gear, and also to obtain the feedback from soldiers in the field that allow them to make any changes necessary before the gear is handed out widely.
One of the new features of the Improved Tactical Vest is a lanyard that allows the vest to be swiftly taken off. This is useful when entering water hazards, and is a new feature of the improved Vest.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!
thank you! We need all the help we can get.
I’m just looking at the picture directly above this post at the SSG with his kevlar holding all sorts of whiz bang gadgets and wires. I am concerned with the effectivness of the Soldier having to worry about getting hung up or those wires caught on his vehicle, terrain, enviroment, or water situation. Seems to impractical unless of course it is meant for a chopper or aircraft. I agree technology is a great tool and ally but when does it get in the way of the individual Soldier and his rifle and wit. Too much technolgy a Soldier will loose confidence if he is in a situation without all these fancy gadgets. Just a fellow US ARMY SGT opinion. HOOAH!
I want to joine the american.my dream is to become a soldier.please help me
i take a good view at the army on this page and i think i know the face, am talking about Dodge, can get more of his pictures or full details, thanks God bless america and protect the military…
