Brand New Sewer System Gives Support For Region
The area near Forward Operating Base Loyalty has been one of the areas in Iraq that has not had running water. Now, there has been an ongoing project that has brought not only running water but also sanitary sewage services to the community.
The sewage project has taken nearly 4 years to complete, and during its progress it has had a lot of different issues and adversity. As it has finally been completed, the US Army Corps of Engineers have seen the progression from nothing to the completed project.
Nearly 130,000 members of the community near Fedaliyah will benefit ultimately from the sewage project. It will deal with processing nearly 1.3 million gallons of waste a day, including the addition of 14 new pumping and treatment stations.
The new system features nearly 100 kilometers of piping, and the project will benefit the residents of Kamaliyah, and help the citizens to have healthier lives.
The freedom from disease, and the ability of the community to have fresh and safe water will allow the residents to live healthier and safer lives.
