Progress Of Surge May Allow Reduction Soon
The Coalition Troop surge has been very successful and it has led to the healing of a nation. The forces that have worked together with the Iraqi government have led to successes that were not foreseen before the surge began.
The levels of violence across Iraq are down, and the ability of individual cities to police and maintain their own safety has increased. Schools are functioning, businesses and economic revival is increasing, and the ability of the Iraqi Security Forces to maintain and keep the community safe has also grown dramatically.
The surge has been so successful that it is beginning to be apparent that the levels of soldiers and troops will be able to be soon reduced. In fact there are many areas that have been reduced already, and that are back to pre surge levels.
The soldiers of the Muli National Forces are responsible for making the nation safe, but the forces of the Iraqi Army and ISF forces will be ultimately responsible for keeping the nation safe into the future.
