Servicemember Represents The Finest Of Our Personnel
The attacks of September 11th made a huge impression on many different people in both the New York City area, as well as across the nation. Many people called for people to get involved, and to work to help find the people responsible.
One of the New York City Firefighters that responded on that dark September day responded to the call.
Lance Corporal Christopher Ford is a scout with the Delta Company. He is part of Regimental Combat Team 5, 2nd LAR Battalion, 4th light Armor Reconnaissance Battalion and works as a Marine Corps Infantryman, working to find and capture members of Al Qaeda as well as other terrorist insurgents.
Ford joined up right after 9-11 because he wanted to serve his country, and because he wanted to try and find the people that caused the Twin Towers tragedy.
Ford had worked hard to get to be a firefighter, always the job he wanted to have since he was a little child. He comes from a military family, his father is a retired US Air Force Colonel, and when the Twin Towers were brought down, he didn’t hesitate.
Mr. Ford was born in California, and traveled around as a member of a military family while growing up.
