One of the first things that President Obama did after taking office last Wednesday was to travel over to the Pentagon, and meet with the top civilian and U.S. Military Uniformed leadership.
In a session that was highlighted by different discussions on Afghanistan and Iraq and their respective wars, President Obama has pledged his full support of the military US Servicemembers around the glade.
?We have some hard times and difficult decisions ahead of us,? said President Obama. There are a number of decisions that have to be made and the time for some of these decisions is short. ?We have decisions about Afghanistan and Iraq to make, and we wont allow harm to our homeland or its people,? said President Obama.
President Obama was accompanied on his trip to the Pentagon by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Joint Chiefs Chairman Mike Mullen, and others on the Pentagon senior leadership and the NSA.
?I want to say that the men and women in uniform are the best that this country has to offer,? said President Obama. ?My Goals will be to make sure you have resources and materials to do the job that we ask you to do,? said President Obama.
