Over the years there has been a lot of change in how different social and ethnic groups are treated. In the past there was discrimination, and different groups could not get a fair shake.
Well, the U.S. Marine Corps has worked hard to produce a new education campaign, to help people realize the equal opportunity that is now available in the Modern Marine Corps.
The program is being produced in conjunction with Black History month, and talks about the first African American Pilot and Three Star General, Lieutenant General Frank Peterson (retired), and another black Marine that became the first Astronaut.
?Living a Legacy of Leadership,? is the new 30 second advertisement stop produced by the Marines and talks about Major General Charles Bolden Jr, (retired) who became the first astronaut, as well as the accomplishments of pilot Lieutenant General Peterson.

While their names are not explicitly shared, the spot does a quick narrative of Black U.S. Marines and their service, from the days of segregation in the 1949s to the current time, and how much more there is access and opportunities now in modern times.
At the end of the spot the narrator asks ?What will YOUR legacy be,? in a quiet challenge to those that will consider making their own mark on the U.S. Marines.
