Many people have different reasons why they join the United States Air Force. Many of those who do join, do so because they want to help protect those that they love and care about. In the Air Force, there are missions which may cause pilots or other personnel to get lost behind enemy lines. In these times, it is highly important that someone is able to parachute in to help them to get back to safety.
What You Will Do
The job of the US Air Force Pararescue Apprentice is to help make sure that those who are in trouble because of the environment that they are stuck in or because of the dangerous country that they might be in, are able to get back to safety. You will need to understand basic medical techniques to help those who are wounded and in need of medical attention as quickly as possible.
Get the Training
To make sure that you know what you are doing, you will go through the right training programs. You will first go through basic training so that you will understand how to protect yourself and others in a combat situation. You will also learn how to properly parachute into any environment so that you will be able to help those in need. Your job will help others to get the protection and safety that they deserve to have.
