You will work to operate different equipment such as loudspeakers, radio and television gear, and analog and digital recording systems. You will work to distribute different material including newspapers, printed materials, and work to research different means to spread information. You will work to spread information and utilize ground and tactical systems. You will work to hand out leaflets, brochures, handbills, posters, as well as participating with different types of media such as blogs, web postings, and radio and television scripts. You will work with both real and factual information, as well as participating in propaganda and dis- information as necessary in support of the United States Security and Army missions as directed.

Training for a Psychological Army Operations Specialist starts with training right after boot camp. Training involves 11 to 15 weeks of advanced training learning about Army Psychological operations. This is a billet that is associated with Special Operations, so you will attend an additional 6 to 9 months of training in other elements of Special Operations training.
