The US Marine Corps field artillery has a variety of jobs that are part of the Field Artillery team, and the mobile Field Radar Marine Corps Operator is one of these job positions. It is a skilled position that is technically challenging and rewarding, and it can be physically demanding. Operation of a mobile Field Artillery Radar Set can be a daunting specialty. It is a job skill that involved using electronics and radar gear to obtain and find information on target and enemy target location. You will serve in a position that has a lot of responsibility; it will be your job to give information assisting in enemy target acquisition and location.
A Marine Corps Radar Operator will help operate various radar console equipment, field telephones, install and lay communications cable and network cable lines, and assist in preparing different radar equipment for use. To Serve in the Marine Corps as a field Artillery Radar Operator you must meet the minimum requirements for the job. You will be on the front lines dealing with different types of radar detection and support for the Field Artillery. You will learn how to be a successful Radar Operator and learn about different methods and procedures in training that is provided to Marines entering this job billet. Serving as a Marine Corps enlisted Radar Field Artillery operator will keep you in the thick of the action. You will work to install and operate all of the different Field Artillery Radar equipment, and to camouflage and hide the equipment in the field. Artillery is the supporting primary arm for infantry and Marine Armor units, and as such the majority of the billets are in ground FMF organizations. An enlisted Marine serving as a Field Radar Operator is trained in how to perform all the different duties involved in orientation, installation, and operation of various radar and field Artillery equipment. The Marine that completes basic training will progress to advanced Field Artillery Radar Operator School.

You will be trained in Radar operations and field skills type training. The Marine Corps Qualifications for Artillery Field Radar Operator includes: completion of the Fire finder Field Artillery Radar Course, be a U.S. Citizen and earn a GT portion ASVAB score of 105 points or higher.
