Without The Food Support From The Coalition Many Would Perish
The joint forces patrol to Ramadi brought much needed food resources to the members of the Ramadi community. The Iraqi Army soldiers that normally patrol the streets were pressed into use delivering food supplies to willing members of the community.
Iraqi Army soldiers brought food in large numbers to three different distribution points in Baghdad, and two outlying villages. Some of the overall distribution was completed by the soldiers from Iraqi, to whom giving out food was new.
The smiles on the faces of the citizens is one thing, but it?s a beautiful thing to see the joy and happiness on the faces of the Iraqi soldiers that are so pleased to be able to do something positive, to be able to participate in a humanitarian effort to help their own people.
Many times members of the community are directly or distantly related with some of the people receiving the food, and it is a program strongly embraced by the Iraqi Security Forces. These programs are all new for the Iraqi Forces, and they love the concept and the idea, and being able to help their fellow man.

The Iraqi Brigade commander was the person that started this most recent effort, and it has been a successful effort, handing out baskets of food and supplies, and the people of Ramadi are rejoicing at the efforts to help them out.
